Hi all,
Hope everyone's doing well in the current app cycle. I'm applying as well but there are a few things that I'm concerned about.
I plan on taking the DAT sometime in August and will probably fully complete my application probably mid-July. (considering the time for LOR's and sending in transcripts and all that). Is this drastically hurting my chances?
I'm also taking summer school, in order to raise my GPA as much as possible before I graduate. If I submit my app before summer school ends, can I update my application with an improved GPA later on? How does this process work? Do people do this?
I'm applying to California schools mainly. If I have a GPA of 3.5~ (after summer school), what kind of DAT scores would I need to have a good chance? I mean like solid chances, not on the borderline. I think UCLA/SF are very very hard reaches/impossible dreams . I'm not expecting to get into these. I would love to get into any of the other California schools though.
Also, does anyone know any good schools to apply to outside of California? and how many schools I should apply to total for good chances? I really don't want to have to apply again next year...heh..
Thanks and good luck everyone.
