Ok, heres my stats, background, etc. What do you think? Are there any holes in places? What else should I add? Hoping to apply for 2016 cycle, but only want to apply once so if it has to wait to 2017, I'd prefer not to, but it could.

I'm sure others will chime in with more substantial recommendations, but all I say is nail that MCAT and you're golden. What state is your residency in?

I live in California.

But, I'm a 10% service connected veteran, still trying to figure this out, but most states consider you in state (Colorado, New York, Illinois, Oregon, Washington, Texas, etc). There's a new law that goes into effect in Fall 2015 that weighs more in favor of all states providing veterans with in state status. When I get close to application, need to call all the schools and ask about the policy...been searching on here for stuff but have yet to find.

Thanks for your advice, really appreciate it. When you say nail the MCAT, what score you thinking?

The average of matriculating students nationwide is something like 30 I think, so ideally above that. I'm no expert but you seem to have a great overall package, so as long as you do at least that well you're getting in somewhere. I can't really comment on your school list though, we didn't apply to a single school in common.

You said you were scoring 28-31, so clearly you're capable of doing well, especially if you still have more studying left to do.

Great. Thanks for the uplifting comments and advice. My pre-med advisor just left my undergraduate school, so I'm in the dark until they get a new one...hopefully by May!
