Advice on Attending Teachers College but still reapplying

I need some advice on whether I should enter teachers college next year but still reapply. Will dental schools frown upon this? Will it even benefit me? It's only 8 months so I would meet all the dealines I am just scared if I go to an interview they will hound me about it. I am waitlisted at 4 schools but am preparing for the 2011 cycle. Any advice would be great.
