As a medical student, I'm very interested in surgical specialties. I have a beard for cultural and religious reasons (I like not having to shave though). It is very well kept and maintained and ~.5" or less.

No one in these specialties around me has facial hair.

In the procedurally involved specialties outside of surgery, will my facial hair be concerning for patients, attendings, etc.?

This question doesn't require anonymity, so you could post this publicly to get more perspectives.

However yes you're overthinking this. If it was a problem, somebody would tell you so.
