For undergrad I only did about 100 hours of consistent clinical volunteering, and 100 as a counselor at a week long camp for sick children. I'm worried that this is way too low for a lot of schools. My MCAT/GPA stats align with middle tier schools.

I want to improve this in my gap year and am stuck being two options:
1) Being a full-time clinical scribe at the ED
2) Being a patient navigator at a clinic through AmeriCorps; this would mainly include assisting patients with paperwork and providing some health education/presenting at health fairs

Which option do you think would be better? The first would give me more clinical exposure but the second is more of a service job so may look better to medical schools. Help!
