Hey guys,

I just finished a good summer term, and I'm starting my Fall semester in about a month. I was going to self-study a ton of chem foundations to be prepared, as I've never taken a chem class in my life; but apparently my uni is making me take a short course to cover the essentials beforehand, so that's off the table. Does anyone have any tips for these classes?:

General chem 1 w/ lab
Calc 1
Genetics
Ecology

Study tips, outside recourses, personal experiences, strategies?.. anything would be helpful.

I would drop calc, this is insane course load if you are not really good at math and time management. I would look at grade distribution for these classes. At my podunk school Calc 1 prof gives A to 40% of his students, same with ecology.
For chemistry I recommend just studying everything from the book and do as much practice questions as you can. Again, depends on a professor.
