Hi, I wanted to get some advice on what to write for my challenge secondary prompt- I have two ideas for this

1. My original idea was to discuss an independent study project I worked on, and how my research/original hypothesis didn't pan out in a larger mouse experiment. Specifically, would talk about how it was the first major challenge I had & how I used the situation to learn more about the area of research/talk to research colleagues for advice/problem-solve for how to proceed with the project. For the result, I would describe how I ended up shifting our live model to be more replicative of the conditions we were trying to study, which ended up giving us positive results.

My concerns here are that A) it might not be enough of a hardship for what the prompt wants, and also B) I don't want to word it in a way that sounds like I was changing things in the experiment just to get positive results. Does this idea at least sound like something I could work with, or should I consider something else?

2. My other idea was to talk about starting an EMT job almost 2 years after taking the course and having to catch up/learn things I had forgotten on the job, but I was also unsure about this idea as well.

The specific prompts I'm aiming to answer are below:
-"Please describe a challenge you faced and how you addressed it."
-"Tell us about a time when you faced a significant challenge or setback. How did you navigate it, and what did you learn from the experience that will help you succeed in medical school?"
-"Describe a personal characteristic, challenge, or experience that makes you unique. How will this influence your contribution to a dynamic healthcare system that advocates for all peoples?"
-"Describe a non-academic personal/professional challenge or conflict that you have experienced. Explain what skills, resources and/or strategies you employed to resolve the problem."

#1 is an academic challenge to me because you're doing academic things (research).

#2 is okay, but I think you are straddling "academic" since you are talking about applying things from a class/training.

In other words, if the prompt says non-academic, I think you have better choices. Otherwise, it probably could work for the other prompts assuming you can answer the questions.
