Does anyone have advice on how to answer this? I have low af stats (3.1cgpa/2.93sgpa/518mcat) but fwiw, i am nontrad and the nuclear bomb grades I received early in undergrad were almost 10 years ago. I also have strong upward trend when i returned to school after a 4 year gap.
I feel like I have a good argument around how studying solidly for the MCAT over the course of a year while working full time in health care demonstrates that I have matured and have the ability to handle upper level science, but it also seems like my MCAT score maybe should just speak for itself (and as another member pointed out, talking about how hard I had to study for the MCAT might looked like my aptitude is as low as my GPA would suggest).
Simultaneously I am a strong mission fit for wanting to work in East Texas, and do have some ties to the region. But I'm sure this school receives plenty of low stat applicants who try to overreach on mission fit and ties to the region, so it could also backfire...
still, I don't think it would be good to debase myself by begging too much...
