i need advice on about cc credits~!
im reading about through these forums how cc credits are bad and some schools will not take your pre-reqs if its from cc...

i took physics I and physics II at cc~ i took it during one of the summers while i was in undergrad~
i didnt know back then that cc credits would not be accepted at certain dental schools and it is negatively looked upon~
i did get A's in both of those classes and those are the only classes i've taken at a CC~ all my other science classes i took at a 4-year university~

i dont wanna hurt or lower my chances for any of the schools i applied to so should i take physics again at a 4-year college?
i dont know what to do cause technically i have a year off since i just recently graduated in may so im free and have time to take the classes...but i really dont want to cause of the money issue -.-" and the dental schools wont even see the grades till much later~ so is there any point???

also, my science gpa is low (3.0)...and my DATs are 20s across which is not AMAZING but solid i guess? and im a re-applicant~
last cycle....my dats scores were low...my gpa didnt really change much cause i have too many credits...and i applied really late around august~

this cycle...im hoping i have a chance but should i take those physics classes again at a 4-year college and other science courses as well too?
i need to know asap cause the deadline for registration is in early august~

what should i do?!?!? 😕😕😕

Taking pre-reqs at a CC means you cannot apply to Tufts, Boston, and may hurt your chances at Temple and NYU. Tufts does not accept any CC credits at all. So if you want a good shot at these schools, re-take your pre-reqs at a 4yr university.

That said, for most other schools, it won't make a big difference at all. I would suggest calling some of the schools that you're interested and seeing what they say.

You probably won't need to re-take Physics, but I would encourage you to continue taking upper level science courses to improve your application and keep your study skills up.

Keep in mind that MA schools don't accept CC credits in their pre-requisites.
