i m a graduate from India and I have applied for NBDE part 1 and i an going to apply for embassy interview. As my uncle is green card holder of United States.... is there any need of any sponsorship or affidavit regarding his bank balance or any official document from his side. secondly i want know, should i mention about any particular type of visa or not.
thanks in advance

Well seeing as your asking a question without any true direction can't really help you. I'm assuming you're a licenced dentist in India and are trying to come here to work. If so, you need to apply to an international trained dentistry program, which is usually 2 years. No clue about any of that other stuff.

Not sure why you're wanting to sit for boards when you aren't licensed in the US?

I think foreign dentists need to sit for the NDBE 1 to go straight to the 3rd year of DDS school. This is how they can skip the first 2 years of DDS school. But don't quote me on that...lol.

Gotcha, that would make more sense. Either way, best contact NBDE testing center about that ECE thing.

does that make a difference.... u should be licenced in US before giving nbde..... on of my senior gave the exam n cleared and she is also not Licenced in US

This would most likely be answered better in the "Dental" or "International Dental" forums.

I got some trouble while filling my ds 160 form..... I clicked on category B1/B2(bussiness/pleasure) by mistake on my embassy form..... instead of only B1......does it make difference or will it create any issue ..... plz help!!!!
thaks!!

One more thing- you do NOT need to do an Advanced Standing program to practice dentistry in the United States. Some states (one of them being Connecticut) allow you to gain state licensure by doing a residency of 2 years (1 year only for US dental school grads). So I would also look into this route because Advanced Standing programs are very competitive and expensive.

You're welcome! I saw that you got your question answered- glad everything is OK.

You should definitely ask this in the International dental forum (the same place where you asked the DS-160 question). Good luck!

I think you should contact Prometric directly to find out why they charged you $520.
