I will be graduating with a biology degree with about a 3.2 overall gpa. Im doing a thesis masters in biology...if i get a good gpa in this masters would be undergrad grades be over looked and i have a shot of getting into dental school?
Your low undergrad grades won't be overlooked, but a master's will definitely help. I was in the same position in Fall 2013, same gpa and everything. Now after doing a master's in biology I was accepted to my dream school. I can't say you'll absolutely get accepted because you never know for sure, but you'll have a good shot gpa-wise. Just make sure your volunteer, shadowing, and extra-curricular hours are excellent. If you get a 20+ on the DAT it'll probably make life easier.
