okay so I really don't want people to tell me to give up on dentistry, because that is not an option for me. this is my passion and dream career so I will not give up.
So i'm in a master's program and I was doing well the first semester, but 2 weeks before finals some very personal things happened where my depression (which I've had all my life) flared up and made it impossible for me to get out of bed, focus, I cried all the time even in class. It was really hard and it affected my final exam performance. I ended up getting an A, 3 B's and 1 C+ during that first semester. I have one more semester to go, and since it looks like I will not be getting into dental school in the fall I can take a few more graduate classes next semester so I could end up with a graduate GPA between 3.4-3.6
Is this okay for a 1 years master's GPA? Obviously I was hoping for a 3.7+ but like I said very personal things happened. Also, should I explain this situation in my personal statement for the next cycle?
Thank you!
