Advice please?

I'm asking my fellow URMs for some advice here.

For Orgo 1 I received a C- and I just received that for Orgo 2 as well. I'm retaking part 1 again in order to get an A and boost my grade up for that class. I just found out that I got that same C- for Orgo 2 for Spring semester.

My question is: I'm already taking part 1 again this summer and studying 5-7 hrs for the MCAT. Studying for 2 months and taking it in August. The Orgo class lasts 2 months (It's part 1, should be easy to retake now that I know the stuff).

Should I re-take Part 2 as well this summer on top of the 1 and the MCAT studying? I know med. schools don't accept C-'s. I would have to study for the class. Also, the thing is that my scholarship won't come into effect this summer so I'd have to pay it out of my pocket.

These are my lowest grades, any advice? Retake 1 and study for MCAT only (then retake Orgo. 2 during my senior yr) or retake 1+2 and study for the MCAT. I plan on applying this cycle.

no rush. decide after a few weeks into organic I. you will likely be able to handle doing both if you stay on top of things. id prioritize grades and push back application if you couldnt handle both.

Don't re-take Orgo I & II at the same time. The worse thing that you can ever be as a pre-med is over-confident. Save your $ and re-take Orgo II in the fall.

I would not retake these two classes during the summer. You should retake them during the fall and you have to get As here. Retakes with mediocre grades can kill your application and you need a strong knowledge base for the MCAT.
