Hi All, I need advice on something. I am accepted to Tufts. However, before I got my acceptance letter, I had a backup plan, which is to go to a nursing school if I would not get accepted anywhere. For this, I've been taking two online classes from two different community colleges to meet the nursing schools' prereqs. However, since I am accepted, I no longer need my backup plan and want to withdraw my online classes so I can get a partial refund. Yet I am not sure if this will be okay as the school doesn't know that I am taking the onlince classes and don't know if they will find out later, but I do want to withdraw from these two classes.

What are your suggestions? Any advice

Congrats on your acceptance. Contact Tufts and explain the situation to see if your acceptance is contigent on completition of those two courses.

Well, the way I see it, if they didn't know about these "classes" (I was always a little skeptical about online classes) in your interview then you got in for other reasons, which makes sense because two classes at CC wont make that much of a difference anyways. I would call the school and explain your situation. I'm guessing they will care less. Enjoy your summer!!!

Will that be okay for me to just withdaw from these two classes w/o telling the school anything about them??? Although I am accepted, I don't show them how not committed I could have been. Plus I seriously don't know how to explain to them. I don't want to tell them that I would go for nursing if I were not accepted. I mean, if they don't know, does it still matter to let them know??

i'd be honest...

tell them the situation, whats the worse they could say? finish the classes? however, if you think these classes may help you at all in dental school then maybe it wouldnt be a bad idea to stick it out, it might be worth it in the long run.

Thanks guys. I emailed one of the admissions ladies and she said it is okay for me to withdraw from these two online classes.

Just in case someone else who is also having this issue or will be having something like this, you can use my case as a reference. But it is only for Tufts.
