Hey guys, I am a pre-med track graduate of last year. I applied last cycle but was not accepted to any DPT program. I took a job as a rehab aide and have been working at a clinic for about a year now (a lot of hours). Here are my stats:

Nat/Sci Major
Psych Minor

Bio 1: B (after retake :/ )
Bio 2: C
Chem 1: B ( after retake)
Chem 2: B
Physics 1: A
Physics 2: A
A&P 1: A
A&P 2: A **Note** I took anatomy and physiology separate at my University, the CC only offered A&P combined.**
Developmental Psych: B
Gen Psych: B
Stats: B

GRE:
152 quant
149 verb

--

I have 120 in patient hours in the Behav. Acute care and In patient setting (split evenly)
2000+ hours in outpatient rehab setting.

I have recently won (Post graduation) a business plan competition sponsored by the state. (Should I mention this?) Basically I have been working on a start up company for the past few years (In college and out).

The A&P retakes were post bacc work. I was going to try and retake my Bio. in the fall. (I am in A&P 2 this summer).

What are your thoughts?

My top choice is Chatham, trying to stay in the PA area.

I have similar stats...I'm nervous now! Where did you apply?

Your stats look good in my opinion, If only you could raise that BIO 2 grade but it seems to be looking good, just keep in mind that most schools average out the grades of retakes so your A in A&P will be averaged out with your previous grade, so as long as you got at least around a C the first time you should be okay after they combine them.

raise your gre score to at least mid 150's for both. What was your writing score? 4 or > is what's needed to be competitive these days.

Okay, thank you guys. I want to contact the schools prior to applying and talk about my application as well. Does anyone know anything about the May start for USA? I was considering applying for that, or is it too late? I believe I will re-take my GRE, my writing was a 3.0, I had a brief panic attack during the first essay. 🙂

I'd hit up the stats sticky at the top of the forum, and do a few searches within that thread.

It's not too late to apply for that class. Interviews for that class are held in late November, but I wouldn't wait to send your application.

Okay great.

Do you have any other recommendations? Such as re-taking the BIO course in the Fall? I'm working 45+ hours per week with this current A&P summer course 5 hours 3 days a week - So hopefully I can have something to show for it this application cycle. My overall GPA is still not too great (~3.0) - My first semesters were not wonderful, nor was my first semester at the Uni ( 🙁 ).

I want to contact all these schools as soon as I apply. The sad part is, it will still be another 6 months after the acceptance until the start - long wait!
