So I'm currently using TBR Verbal to practice my passages. Ive done 5 diagnostics (60 mins) and I peaked at 8 and then dropped down to my lowest score. While looking it over, I've noticed that my most missed questions are on one or two passages, basically the ones I did not understand as well. I realize it's a comprehension problem, but I am still confused as to how I should approach this problem because I believe its more of syntax and sentence structure that gets me. My reasoning is that the passages that I don't understand isn't in a specific category such as humanities for social science, it ranges. Therefore, anyone have any suggestions as to how I should approach my problem?

the only solution to your problem is just to practice, practice, and practice until the category of passages you are having difficulty understanding become your strong point. Also, I wouldn't recommend TBR for verbal. TPR verbal workbook and EK 101 books are MUCH better books to practice for verbal.

Yes, I realize that TBR questions are a little "different" at times, however, I feel that their passages are very accurate with the AAMC. I don't know if you guys agree with me on that one or not, but I have used both TPR and EK 101. Of course, that was a while ago so I expect to go back to them and redo the passages again. I mainly needed new passages. I've done both Kaplan, Princeton, and EK. Of course, the latter two I didn't pay close attention to because I borrowed it from a friend who also needed those two books at the time.
