at end of 3rd year of med school, interested in anesthesiology...
i only have a pain medicine rotation that is affiliated with and run by a residency program I am interested in at the university hospital. i do not have an OR based anes rotation set up for 4th year. should i take a community based off site anesthesiology rotation associated with the same school, which likely wont be run by the residents?
i guess im asking is it better to have a traditional OR anes rotation that is directly affiliated with a program im interested in (but not OR based), or to do a pain medicine rotation with the same program (with the pain medicine rotation having more contact with the residents, attendings)?
