So I have been working as an Medical Assistant and will probably have 3,000 plus hours when i apply. Im also going to start volunteering for hospice soon. But a couple of users on sdn told me to rather focus on my non clinical volunteering since I have clinical experience through employment. I have about 600 hours of feeding the hungry or lower income individuals at my mosque the last 2 summers attained. Nothing against those users just need a 2nd opinion!

I agree with those users.

You have tons of experience in both. If you want to volunteer in hospice then go ahead. I can't imagine the disparity in hours between clinical and non clinical volunteering being a problem

P.S. when do you sleep?

Haha sleep is for the weak! Joking I work 2 days(10 hour shifts) a week. Have school 3 days and 2 days for extra stuff/ studying. Have everything well balanced.

The only reason I asked is not because I don't want to volunteer but because my time management will be thrown off quite a lot. I go to school everyday at 8am and come back home at 10pm because of research and lab duties so I need the extra 2 days to rest it out sometimes

You definitely have shown that you know what you're getting into. Therefore now it is time to show off your altruism.

Community service is second only to healthcare experience in factors consideration for interviews and acceptance according to finding in a 2013 AAMC survey where 127 medical school admission office responded. You have filled healthcare and hospice volunteering will add to community service
