How important is research in anes on my app? Is it worth tying up two of my "audition rotation" months as a fourth year to do it or would my time be better spent rotating at more anes programs? thanks as always

Cant really accomplish much in 2 months as far as research goes. While sometimes if you get in on a project that someone else has pretty much almost finished for you you might be able to get a paper out of it, but first of all that's not really YOUR work, and secondly, if you're starting this month or later, any publication you do get out wont be published in time to help you at all for the residency application process. So you may as well use those free months to get a better look at programs you're interested in.
