Hello everyone,

I am a New Zealand/Canadian citizen looking to apply for medical school and I would like to ask your opinion of what I should do.

I grew up in Halifax, Canada and have recently graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Dalhousie University. I would really like to go to medical school in either New Zealand or Australia since I have a New Zealand citizenship through my father, and I would love to spend some time in a different country and culture.

My GPA at Dalhousie was 3.7, although only my first 2 years were considered full time as I had a family death and other circumstances during my last 3 years, forcing me to go part time to finish my degree.

My questions are:

- Are my grades good enough, and does the fact that I was part time in my last 2 years affect my eligibility?

- Should I go to an Australian University since it is generally only 4 years compared to the 6 at Auckland University?

- What type of aptitude tests would I have to write and would I be able to write them in Canada?

- Is it possible to complete my residency in Canada after graduating?

- What schools would you guys recommend?

- And lastly, what should I be doing to prepare for my application?

I really appreciate your time and any advice you have to offer. Thanks a lot, and I look forward to your response.
