Hey guys I need some advice please. So I am feeling rather uneasy about the situation with rads. I am concerned about the future, in terms of both job and salary prospects. I'm hoping other wise, more experienced rads people can give me some thoughts on what we are up against. Do you realistically think that the job market will stabilize? Will our salaries drop to that of a primary care level, in the 200's? I even read that in Detroit one of the groups lost their contract and they were bought out by one of these corporations and were offering 150k to their rads attendings. Is this the future of the specialty? Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.

you should probably ask over on auntminnie. The oldest people you'll get on sdn are a handful of residents.

Although, honestly, nobody has a crystal ball. We have no idea what the future will look like. Maybe the current market situation is a byproduct of the recession; maybe its more supply and demand. time will tell
