Hi all,
I just took DAT for the first time yesterday. I didn't get the score I expected. Here are the score:
PAT 17
QR 18
RC 19
Bio 19
Gen Chem 23
OChem 18
Total Sci 19
Academic Avg 19
First of all, is that even a decent score?
Since beginning of the the year, I spent about 6 weeks reading my campbell biology textbook. Then 4 weeks reading my general chemistry textbook. Then 3 weeks reading old organic chemistry notes. Finally one week studying Kaplan PAT section. I did not have time to study for RC or QR. Obviously, that is not a very effective strategy. Now I have to wait 3 months before retake. It's a serious setback as I originally planned to apply in this July.
In the mean time can you give me a better way to study the materials?
It really bother me that I didn't do as good on biology and organic chemistry as I expected. I got what I deserved in PAT, QR, RC because I didn't spend enough time to prepare for it.
Please let me know how you study for the DAT. Any feedbacks and advices would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
