This MRI report is of one of my friends. Can anybody suggest whether the patient need to undergo surgery or can the management be done medically.... and if NO...which are the good places to get the surgery done (preferably around Houston). Thanks !!
MRI report of the Lumber Spine:
At L5-S1, there is a broad- based central/right paracentral protrusion protruding from annuals by approximately 6mm deforming the right greater than left S1
Nerve root sleeve and compromise of the canal with a small degree of central stenosis and right greater than left lateral recess narrowing.
Impression:
Central/right paracentral protrusion of 5-6mm at L5-S1 deforming the right greater than left S1 nerve root sleeve with central stenosis
of small degree and right greater than left lateral recess narrowing.
