Swope Health's AEGD Residency Program is designed to provide a comprehensive, interdisciplinary learning experience. Our faculty includes specialists in endodontics, periodontics, and oral surgery who will work closely with residents to build confidence in procedures such as surgical extractions, molar endodontics, implant restoration, and more. In addition, our general dentists routinely perform surgical extractions, crown and bridge, and dentures, offering strong day-to-day clinical exposure.

Swope Health is a teaching institution, and we actively collaborate with local dental schools. Our dentists and hygienists are experienced in mentoring students and residents, with a shared goal of helping each individual grow into the best version of themselves clinically and professionally.

Beyond clinical development, residents are considered full-time employees and receive a competitive stipend, benefits, and eligibility for loan forgiveness programs at the state or federal level.

Hello and thanks for the information. Does your program accept Foreign-trained dentist who graduated from a non-CODA institute? DO you offer student visa? I am currently in the US and graduated from an MPH program, looking forward to attend an AEGD 2-yeras program.

Hello,
We are currently working to accept internationally trained dentists and offer student visas. Our program is currently a one-year program. However, if we were to accept internationally trained dentists, we would want a two-year commitment after successful completion of our AEGD program.

If we're indeed able to begin accepting international students and can offer you a student visa, how soon are you able to relocate to Kansas City? Also, are you willing to accept a two-year commitment post successful completion of the program?

Thanks for the information. Currently, I am living in Minnesota and will be able to relocate whenever my student visa will be transfer. To my understanding, international students with non-CODA DDS degrees should enroll into a two year program in order to get the license. If your AEGD program can offer additional second year to who are interested, me and other international student will be able to enroll.

Can you explain more about the two year commitmnet?
