Anyone able to give some insight on researching locations for 1 year AEGD's? I understand that everyone's experience at each base is different, and I am wondering if there is any objective way to choose a base to practice. In your experiences, will choosing a large base with a lot of specialty programs generally take away from our ability to do OS, perio, fixed etc or will it give us more opportunities to work with specialists on our own cases?
Also, I understand that we are limited in the procedures we are allowed to perform right out of school (molar endo etc) - does the AEGD program lift these restrictions? Also, any practical advice for avoiding the amalgam line and getting the opportunity for more challenging cases no matter where we end up?
