Aerodynamics??

I started college as an Aviation Flight Science major and one of the first classes I took was one called "Aerodynamics and Performance."

The course description reads: Theory of flight, aircraft structure and control, propulsion, performance, and weight and balance.

Does anyone know if this can be classified as a Physics course?

Yeah I'd say so. Just classify it as physics on AACOMAS, worst that can happen is that they change it.

You can beg, plead, jump up and down and get hopping mad, but it is highly unlikely they will count it as such.

Such a course has an element of design and/or optimization so it is usually classified as engineering. Engineering coursework is not considered physics. I learned this through my own frustrating experience with an undergraduate degree in structural engineering. Very very few of my undergrad engineering courses are counted as physics courses, even though they basically were.

This does not, however, mean that some of your courses may not fulfill the pre-requisite requirements even if they were in the engineering department, strangely enough.

Indeed, if you mis-classify a course, however, they will just re-classify it. It will hold up processing of your primary application.

I had two courses titled: "aerodynamics" and "aircraft performance" that were required for my major in aeronautical science. From everything I've seen so far on these forums, these courses will transfer into AACOMAS as BCP courses.

Engineering = Science for AACOMAS. I assume hes concerned about AACOMAS since hes posting here...

Yes, I gave an eloquent response...relevant to AMCAS.

For AACOMAS engineering classes are "Other Science" and they have a clear statement that you should use your best judgment when needed.

Sounds like physics to me.
