OP, what are your reasons for getting it? If it's an impulse because you're in med school, you'll likely regret it. You can't really take the opinions of others into account for something that will be on your body forever. Most of my friends don't think highly of the tattoos I have, but they are personal to me and I am satisfied with them (and they are hidden).

Think about the idea and if you still want it in a few months, in a few years, then go and get it.
