AF: board certification prefix

USAF AD and Just finished EM board certification. Did the paperwork for the pay bonus soon after. I keep reading about this board certification "M" prefix you can get added to your AFSC using AF 2906. https://static.e-publishing.af.mil/production/1/af_sg/publication/afi41-104/afi41-104.pdf

Is there any benefit to doing this? And what would the AFSC change to if already a 44E3A?
