I don't see any problems two humans getting married and living together. However, I have problems with marriage benefits. As APA rejected most of pro-gay research because they are biased and small sample sized, gay marriage is yet proven to be positive to our society. Why we give out tax cuts to heterosexual couple? It brings positive effect on society, and thus government encourage heterosexual couple with benefits. The burden of proof is on homosexual people that indeed they bring positive effect.

It is like trying to get States to recognize my bacon eating. If I can prove that me eating bacon brings positive effect, state should provide me benefit for my bacon eating. And of course, state cannot ban me for eating bacon.

Now nothing is free. There is no such thing as deserved joint income tax benefit, joint healthcare insurance and etc. If I am not aware, a homosexual individual receive same 'benefits' with a heterosexual individual.

Tax benefits are unequal in various regards. For example, some states give far more than what they receive in benefits for their citizens. Why are you singling out a specific group of ppl here? And what data do you have that proves that this is a burden?

For an organization that supposedly rejected such research done prior to 2005, they cite lots of sources conducted before 2005 in their statement on gay marriage.

I have failed to find the announcement by APA task force that I read many years ago. What I remember from now, APA task force went over hundreds of researches done prior to 2004 supporting the homosexual parenting is equally effective as heterosexual parenting. APA task force claimed that those researches lacked in sample size, biased sample selecting and redundancy of data.

I have been searching for many hours but I cannot find the announcement. Whether I misunderstood the announcement at that time or remember it wrong, I was wrong.
