I have recently been accepted to my first-choice DPT program and have sent in my tuition deposit. However, I have a nagging anxiety that something will go wrong and feel a sense of dread about declining an interview from other colleges. However, I also understand it is best for other candidates for me to decline the interview so as to give those who were wait-listed a chance.

I suppose I am afraid that something will go wrong with the paperwork or in administration before I am actually enrolled in the program, and then I will have destroyed all of my chances. Is there any legitimacy to my anxiety or do I need to take a chill-pill here?

Simply stated, breathe! 😉 If you have any anxiety, then just call the school and make sure they received your deposit and ask when you'll get a receipt and if/when you'll get more information on the program (start date, tuition, housing). It's perfectly understandable to be worried that you'll mess something up after putting all the time and effort you have thus far. That being said, you are accepted and you accepted the offer-- CELEBRATE!

Nothing will go wrong, breathe easy and you should decline the other interviews.....congrats on the acceptance!

I do not have your anxiety, but I am not going to deny my acceptance until I am 100% sure that everything will work out with my first-choice school🙂.

Like the others have stated, you can call the school to make sure that you are confirmed a seat in their program. Once that's done - your in; you have nothing to worry about, so congrats and celebrate!
