I have a question....
I wasn't really worried about this until talking to a friend who got into Stanford for engineering PhD. She told me that if her GPA fell too far and/or she didn't take courses she said she would that they could revoke her scholarship money and/or her admission.
Anyone heard of this happening for psych PhD programs?
My grades haven't really plummeted...but needless to say I have severe senioritis and am performing about 8-10% below normal (combined with applying to grad school, doing honors thesis, and buying a new house). I am taking classes I said I would take (so I'm not worried about that). In all, my GPA has fallen from 3.9 at application time (transcripts only including courses up to summer session...since then I've had 2 quarters of classes) to 3.84 currently. I am anticipating that it'll climb a little bit based on my honors thesis grade (6 units) and my current classes.
Nowhere in my admissions letter did it state I had to take certain classes or maintain a certain GPA.
So am I worried for nothing?????
Darn the friend for worrying me!
