After interview, how much do grades matter?

I am a senior who applied to dental schools this June..
I am offered for interviews from NYU, UMDNJ, USC, and Case Western so far.
Interviews for NYU, UMDNJ, USC are in october/november and Case western's interview is in March of 2011.
I am not doing so well in my classes right now.. and I feel like I am going to get a C.. in a biochem course..

So I was just wondering how much would the grades matter for me right now?
Will I get denied from schools if I do poorly (C and B's) in my classes right now?
do schools want either my mid-term report or my final transcript??
How does the process of grade issues work in terms of after application/interview?

I think you have to maintain a 3.0 GPA to keep your acceptance.

Just maintain overall GPA of 3.0?

I'm also interested in how the keep tabs on your grades.

I know there is the academic update period on aadsas sometime in december but for me the only thing that would add to my transcript is spring last year and MAYBE fall this year depending on when my grades came out.

It depends, if you get in to your top choice in December then getting a 3.0 is fine, but if you get on a waitlist or they are late handing out acceptances then Fall grades could matter.

I have heard that all acceptances are conditionally based and if you don't meet those conditions they can pull your acceptance

One of the schools I interviewed with wants me to send my midterm grades and the grades I received this summer. I would be cautious what you get in case they ask for them. You may want to talk to people from last cycle and ask if NYU and the other schools ever do ask for those grades.
