Hi guys,

I was thinking whether we should post after the match is over the following information that may be helpful for next year applicants:

1. How many interviews you were offered
2. How many interviews you actually attended
3. How many programs you ended up ranking
4. And If you match, what position was that program in your list

You don't necesarily have to disclose where you match

Good luck to everyone on June 15th !!!!

Ok, Not sure if I will be the only one posting here, but here we go,

1. How many interviews you were offered

- 10

2. How many interviews you actually attended

- 9

3. How many programs you ended up ranking

- 8

4. And If you match, what position was that program in your list

- 3

Hope this helps future applicants. It's a tough process. Just one advice: Don't believe everything you hear from program directors.

Congrats to everyone who matched!

Thanks to everybody for the replies. I hate to rock the boat, but I think this thread could be a bit more helpful if there was more information. If you are so inclined, could you include some advice based on your personal experience now that you have matched? (i.e. how did the following factors play a role in your match - research, letters of rec, geography, IM program you attended, post-interview correspondence, step scores, in-training exam scores, etc..)

I just wanted to add congrats to all who matched. I see that a couple of people didn't match to their 1st or 2nd choice, but I just wanted to point out that your match is going to look a heck of a lot better once you get there...most people end up liking their programs. Also, remember that a significant # of people didn't match at all, even some of those who got multiple interviews, so it's great that you did.
