hello sdn members,
i am a medical student from India.just completed gruelling 6yrs of mbbs course, including one year internship.i would like to do my post graduation in canada(gen.surgery)....i am also interested in research....
can anyone guide me what i need to do ? it would be of immense help if someone could shed some info on the job opportunities in research....or doing a pg in gen surg is easier or safer bet.....which one should i choose ???

Impossible unless you are a Canadian citizen or permanent resident. I'd suggest looking into the US, and hopefully you had your USMLEs done during your 6 years.
 
Try Family Medicine, you might have a chance...
