I was wondering if I should email the school to ask what I could do to improve my chances of getting in next year when I re-apply. Should I ask?

Yes! Find out what went wrong and work from there. Good luck!

Yes definitely. Be persistent and try to find out exactly what u need to get in. And then work towards it. Applying again next year and going above and beyond what they suggested is a sure way to get in!

Good Luck! 👍

Yeah that is what I am going to do...but I would at least wait until the application cycle is over (May) because most likely they are still interviewing and such right now...

Yeah good idea!

I'm applying to Midwestern University - Glendale.. They recommend that you meet with an academic advisor after you've been rejected/and plan to reapply. This is good because you can really evaluate what you need to do in order to improve your chances. Applying again with no improvements is not a great idea. Plus, the more that school sees your face and your persistence, the better off you are, in my opinion.

the pharmacy school that i really want to go to but rejected me had a guest speaker event at my school two weeks ago. fortunately, i went to the event before i got my rejection letter. I have two email addresses, one of a first year pharmacy student serving on the adcoms and the other is someone's who is responsible for managing the applications or something. which one should I send an email to? should i tell them my name and other information or should i just ask in general what one should do after receiving their rejection letters?
thanks for all your replies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 🙂

Email is a fantastic way to copy-and-paste.
Send to both.

Good luck.

If you applied to any other schools and have a chance of getting in there I would wait or you might just be wasting both you and the schools time. Otherwise I would definitly recommend you contact someone at the school, talking to them face-to-face if possible. A lot of school will really look favorably on reapplicants that have shown an effort to "improve" themselves over the previous year. Who knows, it could be a simple fix, such as continueing to work toward your degree, or getting more experience?
