After taking Bio I would it be bad to take a lower level bio course?

I have around a 87 in Bio I. I know that's still bad, however, I'm doing well in my other courses. I'm a freshman, and was wondering would it look bad if I took Biology for non majors next semester since I'm switching majors? I was thinking it would boost my sGPA.. I have an A in every other course but they're not that difficult..

If you've already taking an intro to bio course, why would you essentially retake it if you're doing fine in it? I would just take Bio II.

Either of the schools I will be attending doesn't offer Bio II. Only Bio I. Basically, I attend a regular SUNY here. I will be transferring to University at Buffalo. They don't offer that course either.

You don't necessarily need to take courses called "Bio I" and "Bio II." You just need to take a year of bio including labs. Just finish the intro course and then take an intermediate level bio (cell bio would probably be best if you're only going to take two bio courses). It would be an incredible waste of time, effort, and money to step down to a lower level bio course.

I heard human anatomy is fun. Should I take that class, it comes with a lab?

Anatomy is fun, but it won't help for the MCAT. I wouldn't take anatomy instead of cell bio, but it would be great to take it in addition to cell bio.

I'm familiar with UB. What is your major going to be at UB? UB has tons of higher elective science courses that are pretty good. Make sure you do well in all your science pre-reqs, A's.

I'm not sure yet. I was thinking along the lines of philosophy. I also heard you need a language requirement, and I was told they offer Turkish!
