Goljan - Aging is due to decreased collagen crosslinking

UWorld - Fine wrinkles are due to decreased collagen fibrils/elastin (and collagen crosslinking was one of the apparently incorrect answer choices)

which one should I go with come test day?? Thanks!

The reasoning, as far as I had learned, is that cross-linking increases with age. But it's fruitless because you're not synthesizing as much collagen overall.

I think both things happen as far as increased cross linking and decreased amount, which is basicaly what chicksdigdocs just said so yeah I'll +1 that

ah my mistake...it is a combo of increased crosslinking/decreased collagen/elastin...thanks
