All my secs have gone out in the last week or so i.e. they were all completed before the 1st of September. Would you all consider this "early" as in "get your stuff in early."

What's generally considered an acceptable time frame for having all your stuff in? My $%##! premed committee is lagging in writing my letter - if med schools get the letter before the end of September am I in pretty good shape? thanks y'all

LORs are indeed in, I guess good news for me. 🙂

tester--I'm in the same position...I've gotten all my stuff taken care of, but my professors have screwed me and my letters are just NOW going to schools...GRRR.

Is this still considered early enough or should I freak out some more? The fact that so many people have interviews already scares me...but I've been trying to tell myself that kids on SDN are usually the kids who would have their stuff in really early.

Anyone got an answer?

Freak out! I had all my secondaries and LORs into every school I applied by the first of August.

You slackers have no chance....

haha...thanks. no, I know I need to laugh at myself. I think I'm more just frustrated at the situation...having to e-mail and call professors a million times made me feel a little too demanding, but I was get angrier and angrier that months after I asked them to write letters I still didn't have any ready....oh, well. I guess there's nothing I can do except agree with you for making fun of me. 🙂

yeah man i wouldn't worry about it too much. with the way all the die-hards in here act you can easily start to feel like only people with interviews in september get in to med school. props to them for being ahead of the game and all, but i didn't start working on my personal statement a year ago like they all did.

i also had some *hard core* flaky professors that were seriously lagging in writing letters. on top of that my premed committee is borderline incompetent and reply to my emails about my committe letter by asking "what was your mcat score again?".
