Oh okay so your familiar with the area. I’m from Oklahoma originally but I have lived in Houston for almost 5 years. I completed undergrad at Texas Southern

Oh okay cool! I’ve really only been to Montgomery a handful of times and stayed in one area so I probably know as much as you at this point lol

Yea I need to figure out where I’ll be staying! I haven’t gotten it yet. Hopefully they’ll send it by the end of the week!

Same! There’s a shopping center that’s really nice that i went to when i stayed for the interview and the students said that was a nice area to stay.
Yes i really hope so! I believe after we sign for the letter is when we have 14 days to do the deposit

I wonder how long it will take for the grad school to let us know about acceptance b/c I just finished sending in everything for that today and I’m hoping they get back to me before I send the money.. I’m sure it’s just a formality to apply but I’d rather be safe than sorry lol

Oh I still need to finish mine. I’m not sure if we need to resend recommendation letters so I was going to ask before I did it. But yes I’m sure it’s just a formality thing I’m not sure why we wouldn’t get accepted.

The acceptance email said we didn’t need to send recommendation letters or the personal statement! So just transcript and GRE scores

How did you do the graduate app online? It takes me to a page with a username and password but Im not sure how Im supposed to create one?

There should be a button that says “create an account”. The first time it might take you to a page titled Oracle, but just exit out and keep clicking on the “Apply online” link and it’ll take you to the right page

Oh wow I took it last year but Im going to take it too. I asked if they offered it online. But Im for sure going to get the packet sent to me.

Have they already given you info about it?? She just kinda mentioned it at the interview but I haven’t heard many details yet
Also, did you reply to the acceptance email? I didn’t and I was wondering if they wait to hear back before sending the official letter. But it didn’t say to respond in a certain amount of time or anything

No I haven't. I emailed them questions about the class though. That a good question.... I didn't reply to that specific email but I emailed Heather Mount just to ask some questions about the program. I figured we would have the letter soon.

This is what she said:
"Congrats! You have 14 days from the time you receive the letter in the mail. (It is the day you sign for it) August 15th is the official start date but orientation will be the 14th. Please let me know if you have any other questions."

The oracle page is the only page that keeps popping up 🙁

My boyfriend is facebook friends with a guy who posted he got accepted but other than that I haven't heard anything else. I didn't even know anyone going into the interview

Oh I knew two girls going in to the interview. One got waitlisted and the other, Im not sure if she received anything.

Nope not yet. But I called up there this past Friday and was briefed that they’re working on getting them out in the coming weeks.

Hey, congratulations on your acceptance letter! I am entering my senior year of undergrad and Alabama State is one of my top choices. May I ask what were your stats? Gre, GPA, major, and Observation Hours..

I had 184 observation hours in four different settings.
Gpa 3.6 and my last 60 a 3.8
Tbh my gre wasn’t that great lol but i had a 3.5 writing
