I've definitely read through a lot of information (including this website) concerning fellowships but am still having a lot of questions. I'm hoping someone in here can help me out with updated information.
1. I've read through the differences between pain and spine but if there is a difference, why does FREIDA list them under the same category of pain? Also, how will I know which one is which considering that they're categorized together?
2. Does it really matter if a fellowship is ACGME accredited? I can understand that hospitals may be interested in accreditation but do insurance companies know/care if physicians completed an accredited fellowship?
3. What is the spine/musculoskeletal fellowship? Are they all two years?
4. Can rehab docs apply for FP/IM sports med fellowships? Are there opportunities to do injections and if so, which ones?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
