I got rejected from Albany... so it is probably a good thing... they don't just put everyone on hold, at least.

Sorry. I was put on hold for interview last year at Albany. I ended up getting a pre-interview rejection several months later.

Does anyone know how many interviews ALbany gives out every year?? I'm not very up to date with the number of interview days, the number of interviewees per day and the number of seats/acceptances sent out for their class. Any info owuld be much appreciated. Thanks!

i interviewed in October and the lady said they ususally give out about 650-700 interviews. half are accepted. they are looking to fill their class of 130 with 88-90 new entrants from the traditional admission process because ~40+ ppl are already in from their special programs. i think albany interviews only weds and thurs with morning and afternoon groups on both days.

Smilies...thanks a lot for the info 🙂 I'm heading over there in early Feb, and am trying to psych myself up by knowing the odds of getting an acceptance. Hope your interview went well and you get an acceptance!

Anyone know if sending a letter of interest will help get me off the hold list? I'm very interested in AMC.

I did that last year. It didn't help, but it can't hurt to send one.

there's a thread around here somewhere that has all applied/interviewed/accepted statistics on it. Do a search and you'll see how many albany interviews.

I'm also on hold at Albany and I am probably going to write one this Friday. I got the e-mail imforming me that I was on hold about 3 weeks ago. Like it was said before...it can't hurt.

Don't know if this helps any of you (or whoever already has an interview at another date), but I just freed up a spot for 1/30 11:15am.

I also withdrew my application to Albany, and thus relinquish my interview spot for Feb 13th. Hopefully one of you deserving SDN'ers get it 🙂

Good luck to everyone.
