I'd suspect that if you are 'under consideration', you may be in a hold pile...not yet a waitlist. I remember at Albany that they put quite a few people off until they've interviewed everyone to decide. (I'm in this category at two schools.)
If I recall correctly, you receive a score post-interview and will be accepted by the end of interviews if your score falls within the range of admitted scores for applicants. You may want to call Albany and ask if it will help to send a letter of continued interest. (I don't think it will because I'm pretty sure your score is static.) This category is in no way bad, as Albany tends to have quite a bit of movement. Several people I talked to at the school were placed under consideration and then accepted only weeks later. Good luck. 🙂
I interviewed back in early November, and they made it seem as though we'd hear something from them soon. I still haven't heard anything. Did this "under consideration" come through email, or snail mail, or the website, or what? How about acceptances and rejections?
Thanks
I interviewed at Albany last year and was put on the waitlist. I was told my position kept moving up last summer and by a few days before classes started I was told I was near the top of the list. I never got in🙁🙁🙁
The list is ranked, a letter of interest or intent won't help (I was told this by them).
Hopefully, you'll get better news than I...just keep on waiting.
