i just called admissions office and they confirmed that they had sent out a small batch of decisions. they said that this was basically something that the dean wanted to do and the majority of decisions won't be mailed until 1/15. i guess that those who will be getting decisions before 1/15 will likely be all acceptances. (btw, i was told i wasn't gonna get decision until 1/15...argghhh)

Is Einstein's interview season almost over? My application was finally complete on 11/12, but they haven't invited me to interview. Do you know if they send out most of their acceptances on 1/15?

Yeah, from what I've heard they have two admit dates: one in January, and one in April.

Figured I'd add in what I remember from last year. Around 1/15 they send out enough acceptances to theoretically fill the class (about 180 or 160, whatever their class size is). There were a few acceptances mailed before that date, but the majority was mailed in January. I don't think they send out any post interview rejections or waitlisted until after 1/15.
As far as their interview season goes..I think they went to April/May last year.

I got an email a week ago from Einstein saying that I was being offered an interview in January - I thought Jan 15 was the earliest. I'm not going, so hopefully some other SDNer can take my spot. I'll call the Dead Physicist and let his know to save my spot for an SDNer.

I'm kind of confused by this thread. I interview at Einstein on Jan 6th. Techinically are all their spots going to be offered by Jan 15th? So will i have a decision by then also? I know many students will turn them down and spots will open up but I feel like I'm at a tremendous disadvantage here just because I didn't interview early. Not fair 🙁
yeah, i'm on january 6th too. i'm hoping that they'll be able to make their mind up about me in 9 days . . .
it totally sux because they invited me on october 18th, and it took them so long to get back to me about scheduling my interview that they ran out of november and december slots! so i will feel very, very screwed by this school if i'm not included in the jan 15th decision group.
