I am a M4 applying for neuro in the north east coast area. I am scheduled for a neuro interview in Nov with AE, and I just received an email from the prelim med program with an invite to an "optionall" interview.
Is it really optional? implying that neuro program have "reserved" spots on medicine team for ranked applicants? I would love to save myself an interview day for other neuro programs, but if no spots are reserved for neuro applicants, then I should probably go and interivew? Prelim med & neuro do not interview on the same day of the week either 🙁
Any current/past AE neuro residents can shed some light?
