I've heard that AE requires first year student to live in their housing, and that they don't allow dogs. Does anyone know if this is true? I have a pug that must come with me, and I'm trying to decide if I should apply at AE or NYMC. Thanks!

I know Einstein doesn't allow any pets in their housing but im almost positive youre not required to live in their housing. I would call their housing office just to make sure obviously. You can search for a house/apt. in the area if you need to take the dog with me. I'd love to take my dog with me too, but it's einstein housing for me. at least jersey isnt that far away. anyway, good luck with your decision!

Einstein does not require first year students to live in their housing but they do screw you if you don't. I currently live in manhattan and I'm most likely going to Einstein in August. I'm planning on staying in manhattan and commuting to school but no matter where you live, Einstein gives you no more than $450/month to pay for housing for financial aid. So it's definitely to your advantage to live there unless you have outside cash to subsidize your apartment off campus. It's pretty unlikely that you'll find something for under $450/month if you don't live on campus. I'm not sure about the dog thing though.
