I got my acceptance via email on Monday and am pretty excited. I thought this would be the program I would have the least chance of getting into, so it was surprising to get a response so early. Did anyone else get their acceptance letter and are any of you waiting to hear back from other places before making a decision? Also, if anyone has already gone through the program what did you think of it? See some of you this summer.

when did you interview there?

It's just the summer research program, so I don't think they interviewed anyone... but I could be wrong.

anyone else? i figured this was kind of a longshot but there have to be more people. did anyone else apply or apply to other SURPs or have bad/good experiences with SURPs?

Hey andrey1225 do you think you can give me the site for the summer research program you applied to? I think I might want to apply next year, cause I need a lot of research experirnce with all the competitive med school i will be applying to.

There's the link to a lot of summer programs (there are other links circulating all over the web -- just do a google search of "SURP" and you'll get 100s). Here's the link to Albert Einstein's program:

I'm not sure how competitive it is in relation to the others. My GPA isn't great but I've done a lot of research and had good letters of rec. So, they may emphasize different parts of the application or they're just not that selective in general. Hope that helps.

thanks this helps a lot
