There are a lot of stereotypes out there about doctors, some good, others not. People I've talked to say different things: Doctors are nice. Doctors are mean. Doctors are stupid. Doctors are smart. Surgeons are jocks. Psychiatrists are weird. Anisthesiologists are weird with an evil twist.
I know it isn't nice to stereotype. But let's face it, stereotypes are around. They aren't always fair. They aren't always nice. And they are certainly not applicable to an individual. BUT...
What are stereotypes you've heard about doctors in general?
What are steretypes about particular types (specialties) of doctors?
And, finally, do you think there is any truth to what you've heard?
