I am very happy. I just got my acceptance package from the best medical school in India. It is rated over a lot of U.S. medical schools. I got into two US schools, but I will be going to AIIMS. The majority of MD's from AIIMS are cardiologists and neurologists. Hope to follow one of these paths.

GPA: 3.75
MCAT: 35N.

I don't think India is in great need of many neurologists and cardiologists. Those villagers making up 70% of the population are more in need of just about everything else...

they are in need of resources- that would guide them...these resources can be provided by rich neurologists n cardiologists from INdia/US(NRI)- ofcourse if they wish to....morals play a role there.. For a fact, you cant provide ANYTHING directly to the needy people...it has to be an indirect pathway

I've actually worked with some people providing services directly to villagers in India and it is done quite often. Now, I agree that earning money in the US and then using it to provide resources for these villagers might be very effective, but someone has to directly serve these people...

thats so right paco, you hit the nail on the head
If it is not done directly, the effort and money people who wish to give to it goes down the drain, because the indirect sources often plunder half of what is meant for the needy.

Theres no need for the flames. Maybe the OP is trying to show people the option that one has if they dont get into MED school here, or maybe his statistics that got him into AIIMS. If you dont like something, move on to the next thread why waste ur time asking what the OP was trying to say ?

I think it's worth my time when this guy is obviously either
a) extremeley socially inept
b) trying to put down an Indian school.

I can understand if he feels as if this medical school is comparable to an American medical school; I can't understand the necessity to make such a post and try to annoy people.

As an Indian, my perception is that most Indians are hmmm...gunners. I thnk this post was by admissions at that school or the guy wanted an ego boost or the guy genuinely wanted us to know that there are other great medical schools and doctors around the world. I mean come on...there must be some schools better than rosalind franklin. Just my 2cents

I am sort of partial to the Chicago Medical School, but then you are giving a whole city the bad rap.
