I'm not submitting a committee letter, just individual letters. I have all my required letters in and wanted to get one from my volunteer supervisor but it has been taking him a very long time to write it/respond to my emails. I'm wondering if schools will count me as complete because I have the required academic letters in already or will they keep waiting on this additional one? I'm guessing this may be different for each school and I'll just have to call each one?

I'm also asking because if it does end up taking too long, I may decide not to include this extra letter since I would like to be complete as soon as possible for schools I have submitted secondaries too. Thanks!

depends on the school but generally, if you listed that you will be sending them letter X, they will wait until letter X arrives (though you can indicate on AMCAS that you no longer expect letter X and they will notify schools for you.. then you can re-add the letter with a NEW letter request once it comes in to use as an update letter).
