Here's my list (feel free to add on):

-Read the Harry Potter Series
-Read the Twilight series
-Go to Europe
-Watch the Star Wars series in one day
-Learn how to Knit
-Work at Macy's
-Get fired from Macy's
-Build a Computer
-Do an oil change

Well that's all I have for now!

Sleep!

Also lots of craft projects and binge watching all the shows I’ve been wanting to watch on Netflix but have been unable to.

I have quite a dumb question. I know gap years are very common and recommended by most people. My question is how do medical schools know what you're doing during your gap year? Wouldn't you be submitting your application as a graduating senior? Furthermore, aren't most interviews in the Fall/early winter? Or when people say "gap year" do they mean a full year out of undergrad before applying? As in 2 years between graduation and med school matriculation.

When you take a gap year, you submit your application about a month after graduation from undergrad.

People I know who took gap years got medically relevant jobs after graduation from undergrad (EMT, scribe, etc.). They also continued volunteering, research, etc.

I think some applications will ask what your plans are for your gap year and then it will inevitably come up during interviews.

Ah, so most of what happens during a gap year is conveyed to the medical schools during interviews?

If I’m not accepted and forced to gap, I’ll get my masters in biology, retake the MCAT and get back to the gym.

correct, or in the case that you are left empty handed in terms of interviews, most of what happens goes into building your application for your second attempt.

I studied abroad in Japan as an undergrad and if I have the chance/money I'd love to go back during my gap years! 😀

Ugh. Clean out all the clutter my closets have accumulated over the past few years! Although, I did that between submitting my AMCAS primary and my secondaries coming in. I guess now I'll be binge watching a lot of Netflix, now that my interviews are all done.

I work full time but what I have been doing outside of that is:
*trying to get through all of the "classics" in literature through audiobooks during my commute to work
*bought a movie pass, so I get unlimited trips to the movies for 9.95 a month
*going to start getting back into actually using my neglected xbox one

$9.95/month for unlimited movies at the theater? Sign me up! Can't even get ONE movie ticket for that cheap 😵
